Autism Programme Lead, Lincolnshire Health & Care System – Expressions of Interest

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Autism Programme Lead in the Lincolnshire health and care system.

This is on a temporary 18 month basis at an 8D level and will be a part time secondment (2.5 days but some flexibility), in order to deliver on a number of key priorities

  • Work with Experts by Experience and system partners to refresh the Lincolnshire all age Autism Strategy
  • Drive the pathway review for Autism diagnosis – ensuring the system is ready to deliver an all age diagnostic pathway from 1st April 2023
  • Work with system partners and Experts by Experience to model the post diagnosis support offer
  • Build the work plan and programme infrastructure to ensure successful delivery of the Lincolnshire all age Autism Strategy

The successful candidate will work to the System Responsible Officer for Autism and report into the Lincolnshire Autism Partnership Board.

Specific criteria or knowledge base as well as clinical pathway expertise:

  • Hands on experience of working with autistic people.
  • A working knowledge of neurodiversity and social model of disability.
  • Leadership and teambuilding skills.
  • Experience of leading change and understanding of the need for cultural change
  • An understanding of co-production and a willingness to implement it moving forward.
  • Desirable if the candidate had a family member who was autistic, or was autistic themselves.
