Don’t forget pop-up walk-in covid vaccination sessions

People in and around Lincoln, and across the county, are being reminded that there are still plenty of options allowing them to get their covid vaccination.

This follows on from the closure earlier this week of the Mass Vaccination Centre at the Lincolnshire Showground, which during more than a year of operation had given more than 240,000 vaccinations.

The NHS in the county is maintaining its capacity to vaccinate people, even as life returns to some kind of normal, and will continue to offer walk-in vaccinations, pop-up vaccination sessions and bookable appointments.

“It remains business as usual for us and we are continuing to see a decent number of people coming forwards for their vaccinations including spring boosters,” explains Rebecca Neno, Director of Covid and Influenza Vaccination Programmes, NHS Lincolnshire CCG.

“Everybody who wants to can get vaccinated and I would urge anyone eligible for their vaccination to have it as soon as they can and not to wait.  In particular, we are increasing the number of pop-up walk-in vaccination sessions across the county, details of which are always available on our Grab a Jab page.

Alternatively, for anyone who might prefer booking an appointment for their covid vaccination, this can still be done online via the National Booking System or by calling 119.

The vaccination team at PRSA, Boston have also introduced walk-in vaccinations for stem cell transplant patients aged 12 and over to have their booster (4th) dose or their spring booster (5th) dose, or for stem cell transplant patients who need to restart their course, and these will be held every Monday between 10am and 11am (except 23rd and 30th May).
