Help is available for EU Citizens in Lincolnshire as the Settlement Scheme deadline approaches

On June 30th the deadline to apply for EU Settled Status will arrive for all EU, EEA, or Swiss citizens resident in the UK at the end of December 2020. This deadline also applies to their family members (including non-EU Citizens).

Settled Status is the right to live, work or study in the UK and without it the rights of EU, EEA and Swiss citizens will be affected. Even those that have lived in the UK for many years or have a permanent residence document may still need to apply. The only exceptions are those people with indefinite leave to enter or remain.

Some people may be confused as to what documents they need, or how they go about making their application. For this, Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire have a specialist team to help EU, EEA and Swiss citizens living in the local area by providing free support and advice for all settlement scheme applications and queries, whether simple or complex.

Citizens Advice South Lincolnshire is an all-inclusive organization that works to make society fairer by providing free, independent, confidential, and impartial advice to everyone. With funding from the Home Office, we hope to help EU citizens overcome any problems with the application process.

To access support with your settlement scheme application please phone: 0800 448 0734, between 9.30 – 4.30 Monday to Friday or email: eussreferral@citizensadvicesouthlincs.org.uk. We also have a website: www.citizensadvicesouthlincs.org.uk, where there is an online form to complete to help with your application, and an advisor will be in touch within three days. To find this form, visit the website and click on the EU Settlement Scheme Tab.
