NHS England and NHS Improvement have commissioned Carers UK, through our Employers for Carers service, to provide a range of resources for the 1 in 3 staff in the NHS who are combining their professional role with unpaid caring responsibilities.
All 42 ICS/STP areas are signed up to Employers for Carers (EfC) membership, giving all staff in primary and secondary health care access to our resources for employees and managers.
This online event will include:
- New Carers UK research to be launched on Carers Rights Day
- Latest resources available through your EfC membership, including a brief tour of our EfC Digital and Digital Resource for Carers platforms
- Case studies from NHS organisations who are delivering support for working carers, including tips on how to successfully roll out your resources within your ICS/STP
This will be your opportunity to discuss latest challenges and good practice in supporting carers in your workforce and understand more about how you can make the most of your EfC membership. Please note that in the first instance this invitation is targeted at workforce leads at ICS/STP level. However, you are also invited to cascade this to HR leads (and anyone else who has a key role in supporting carers) in organisations within your ICS/STP area.
Please confirm your attendance and you will receive joining instructions closer to the event. If you are unable to make this time, please send a deputy to attend. Additionally, if you have a carers network lead please ensure they have the details to join. We look forward to celebrating with you on Carers Rights Day!
We do hope that you will be able to join us on 25 November. If you need any further information about the event, please do not hesitate to contact us at email@example.com.
