We wanted to let you know that Amy and Mandy Hodson, also know as Rainbow Girl and Advo-Cat Woman, have raised a total of £450 so far for Super Heroes for Mencap Charity, which is fantastic news. Colleagues still have the opportunity to add to the running total and support them to raise money for MENCAP via their Justgiving page, which will close on Friday 29 October.
We would also like to wish Amy Hodson the best of luck as she is one of 3 finalists in the Lincolnshire Sports and Physical Activity Awards, for the Fundraising Award.
The Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday 11 November, at the Doubletree by Hilton, on Lincoln’s Brayford Waterfront, and hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire presenters Rob Makepeace and Carla Greene.
There are 9 categories this year. each recognising the positive impact physical activity has had on people’s lives, whilst celebrating those who actively contribute to the health and wellbeing of the people of Lincolnshire. 27 shortlisted individuals, clubs, and schools have been announced, and local businesses will present the awards to the winners on Thursday 11 November.
Amy is one of the 3 finalists for the ‘Fundraising Award’ – you may remember her Voiceability keeping active walk, and her sponsored walk for The Royal British Legion, during Covid 19 Lockdown where she raised £1,500. Being a wheelchair user demonstrates the effort and determination that Amy has, in everything she does, to complete her fund raising walk.
Amy is an inspiration to everyone who knows her. We all wish her the very best of luck from everyone at LCCG!
