Information detailing the rollout of a new piece of software to improve the ability to remote control devices to support them as required. This is due to commence Next Monday, 1st March.
The install is unobtrusive and will happen in the background with no impact or interaction required from device users.
New Remote Access Software Icon
The Arden & GEM IT Service Desk will from Monday the 1st March begin rolling out a new software product to improve their ability to remotely access user end devices. The deployment of this software will occur in the background, will require no user interaction, and due to its small size will not adversely impact on device performance.
The only evidence it has been installed will be a new icon in the system tray, (example below). So please do not be concerned if you see this new icon.
Granting Remote Access
When a member of the Arden & GEM IT Team requires remote access, you will first be prompted to authorise the access. Assuming the remote session has been agreed please select Yes to allow the IT Team access.
