Potential fraud involving flu vaccinations

We are aware of a potential fraud involving flu vaccinations, whereby a patient booked an appointment for a vaccination via a website called Patient Access, paid £15, and subsequently attended a local GP practice for a service/appointment that does not exist.

This apparently fraudulent activity has been reported to the Police and its national fraud team.  If you are eligible for the flu vaccination you will not be charged for it by the NHS – it’s free because you need it.

If you are not eligible for the flu vaccination via the NHS, you can still choose to pay to have it from your local pharmacy.
