Staff Wellbeing Hub set up to help staff who are struggling mentally or emotionally

Staff Wellbeing Hub screensaver 16:19

Staff have faced a great deal of uncertainty, anxiety and pressure to respond in often difficult circumstances during this pandemic, as well as carrying the emotional load for themselves, their families and those they care for.

But, it is vital that you know there is help available should you feel as if you are struggling mentally and emotionally.

During the pandemic, NHS trusts and organisations across Lincolnshire addressed the strain being put on the mental wellbeing of staff working as key workers at a time of huge worry and unpredictability.

Immediately, as part of our response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we ensured that staff and managers had access to two helplines in case they needed support.

The Health and Wellbeing helpline was set up to provide general advice on staff wellbeing, queries about health conditions and COVID-19 or basic HR enquiries.

In addition, the Emotional Wellbeing helpline was also put in place to provide brief therapeutic interventions while supporting staff with their mental wellbeing as well as acting as a triage process for those in need.

The relaxing of restrictions and the return of functionality to core services has enabled us to make access to these services even easier.

In fact, we have streamlined those services to create one central place to get help called the Staff Wellbeing Hub.

It means we can continue to provide emotional and mental health support as well as general advice on staff wellbeing and health conditions for all health and social care staff in Lincolnshire.

It also remains a safe space where people have the freedom to offload or wobble without the fear of being judged.

If appropriate you will be offered a comprehensive assessment of your emotional wellbeing needs and then if necessary be referred for treatment from the relevant mental health service that best fits your needs.

All NHS and social care staff will be prioritised for treatment.

Please be assured that our service is completely confidential and is not part of any wider mental health or GP service. No one will know you have spoken to us unless you tell them yourself.

The Staff Wellbeing Hub will continue to be facilitated by the LPFT Staff Wellbeing Service and can be reached by calling 01522 518609 between 9am to 5pm from Monday to Friday.

Alternatively, you can email lpft.staffwell-being@nhs.net
