Unpaid carer vaccination

We are asking all unpaid adult carers to get their first and second vaccinations ideally before the 19 July when the full release from lockdown is due.

It is really important to get both jabs to protect yourself and those you care for. You can still book an appointment at a vaccination centre via the National Booking Service, either online Book a coronavirus vaccination – NHS (www.nhs.uk) or through the national telephone number 119.

If it is more convenient, you can look at dates, times and venues for “grab a jab” drop in sessions.  There must be a minimum of eight weeks between your first and second vaccinations, and you can bring your second vaccination forwards if it is eight weeks or more since your first vaccination.

If you have any difficulty accessing your first or second vaccination, please contact the carer vaccination line on 01522 782031 to discuss your needs. Please hold the line to speak to the next available adviser if necessary.

We can refer you to further help through the Wellbeing Service and refer any specialist carers needs to Carers First.
